Dr. Cindy Hui graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of California at Berkeley. Subsequently, she earned her Doctor of Optometry at Southern California College of Optometry and is a practicing optometrist, specializing in providing eye care for patients in nursing homes and psychiatric facilities. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Hui is a developing writer, evolving from her interest in patient education, an essential element of patient care. She believes that effective communication goes beyond simplifying medical concepts for the layperson. Rather, it involves delivering explanations that resonate with each individual, thereby fostering active participation in the treatment and management of their own healthcare.
