Partner Lab Feature: Precision Point Diagnostics
We have a new blog series that features each of our lab partners so that you can get to know them better! Next up is Precision Point Diagnostics! We had a great conversation with Jace Agolli, Business Development Director at Precision Point, to learn more about Precision Point Diagnostics, how they started, and the technology behind their tests.
Introducing Precision Point Diagnostics!
Hello, Jace! I am so excited to chat with you and learn more about Precision Point Diagnostics!
When was the company founded?
Two integrative medicine doctors founded Precision Point Diagnostics in 2009 as Dunwoody Labs. Their philosophy was to get to the root cause of disease by using state of the art diagnostics. In late 2020, we became Precision Point Diagnostics!
What a cool story! Where are y’all located?
Our high-complexity CLIA-licensed and COLA-accredited laboratory is located in Dunwoody, Georgia.
What is your main focus at Precision Point?
We strive to innovate testing solutions that assist practitioners in diagnosing and managing conditions commonly associated with functional medicine.
Fantastic! Could you tell us more about the technology you use to do these tests?
Many of our tests measure the presence of the antibodies IgE, IgG, and IgG4 as well as the complement C3d. We analyze samples using ELISA technology.
What practitioners do you serve? And what are the main conditions practitioners are using your tests to diagnose and treat?
We serve all integrative-trained practitioners. They commonly use our tests to diagnose and treat gut dysbiosis, leaky gut, food allergies, and food sensitivities.
What is your favorite part about being in this industry?
I enjoy being a part of a team that helps doctors help patients figure out complex issues.
That’s wonderful! We at Rupa know how rewarding that can be.
What is your future vision for functional medicine lab work?
I would like to see a continued push to provide unique gut markers that can create a more robust understanding of a patient’s health and symptoms.
What are you working on right now as a lab? To what do practitioners have to look forward?
Right now, we are developing additional gut markers to ascertain the root cause of inflammation.
That’s fantastic! Is there anything else interesting, funny, or noteworthy that you would like practitioners to know about your lab?
At Precision Point Diagnostics, we are committed to providing the best allergy and gut testing platform.
Wonderful! I cannot wait to see what happens with your new tests. Thank you for taking the time to speak with us!
