This test detects variations in the LPA gene. It identifies individuals who are at risk of having elevated plasma Lp(a) and greater than a two-fold risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD). This test can be added on with any other Boston Heart genetics test. Please be advised that Boston Heart Diagnostics policy states that practitioners are unable to order labs on themselves or their immediate family members.
