This test detects variations in the haptoglobin gene. It identifies diabetic individuals with a higher risk of developing cardiovascular disease. This test can be added to any other Boston Heart genetics test. Please be advised that Boston Heart Diagnostics policy states that practitioners are unable to order labs on themselves or their immediate family members.
